Hi, I'm
EMMARIE
WILSON
I’m a multidisciplinary theatre artist who loves diving deep, doing the research, and giving it my all. I believe theatre is a transformative and miraculous medium. I believe telling stories, and more importantly, telling stories well, will make this world a better place. I’m passionate about understanding other humans and what drives us to do miraculous things. So tell me, other human, what drives you? What miracles have you taken part in?

My love for literature, history, writing (along with my “timeless” presence) has led me to have many period pieces on my resume., though, I’ve been time-traveling for a long time now. If I'm being honest, my most creative self was at Haslet Elementary, playing “time travel” with my first ever acting partner and lifelong best friend. Saving Abraham Lincoln and stopping the fire of Alexandria in elementary imagination games soon became after-school rehearsals of Shakespeare and Brecht. I fell in love with words and how spoken words were action.
After school, I went on to college to earn my BFA in acting at Rockford University. For my senior year project, I traveled back to 960 AD and met Hrotsvitha Von Gandersheim, the first female playwright, and wrote a one-woman play about her, the struggles she faced, and the courage it takes to embrace one’s destiny.
Whether I bring classics to life or bring in my own experience to contemporary pieces, I aim to always bring the curiosity and bravery of a child to my work.
When I’m not storytelling, I enjoy traveling the world, cooking with the people I love, and reading very long, very unacademic fantasy novels.
